No. You're not following anyone: you're conducting the investigation. Marrakech is discovered through historical and observational puzzles, in the form of a self-guided treasure hunt or a scripted escape game. You are participants, not spectators.

The treasure hunt is experienced in complete autonomy, at your own pace, guided by a dedicated mobile application in the heart of the medina. You start when you want, you stop when you want.

An escape game is a timed mission, with a fixed schedule, a higher level of narrative intensity, and a Game Master to guide you. Some are done on foot, others in a chauffeured vehicle.

The two share the same DNA: heritage, history and local culture, without exception.

A professional driver from an approved tourist transport company, our partner. Each has their own role: we design and run the game, they provide the transport, with their licenses, vehicles and insurance.

The vehicles are recent, air-conditioned and comfortable. You don't have to drive or look at a map: you conduct the investigation, we take care of the rest.

None. Our founding promise is 0% Shopping, 100% Culture. No touts, no detours to cooperatives, no hidden commissions. Our tours are dedicated to discovery, observation, and play, and nothing else.

• Treasure hunts in the medina : approximately 2 hours, but you set your own pace.
• Escape games on foot : from 1 hour to 3 hours depending on the scenario.
• Drive-up escape games : from 2.5 to 6 hours depending on the distance travelled.

The exact duration is indicated on the information sheet for each experiment.

Six languages ​​are available: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, and Arabic. You choose your language when launching the application or when making a reservation.

Each solved puzzle earns points. Time is used to break ties between teams. The ranking is specific to each course : you are only compared to those who have played the same mission as you.

You can view the scores on the Rankings. This is purely a fun feature: there are no material prizes to be won.

In this treasure hunt, the app gives you progressive clues: a first hint, then a second, and the solution if you ask for it. You're never stuck.

In escape games, your game master intervenes to put you back on track without giving you the answer. In drive-through escape games, an unsolved puzzle never interrupts the journey: it simply costs points in the ranking.

Yes, and that's part of the experience we value. After a treasure hunt, we send you the discovery booklet : all the historical and cultural facts encountered during your journey, developed and documented, so you can calmly review what you saw while playing.

You will also receive your detailed results and, if you have agreed to their publication, bonus photos taken during the mission.

For treasure hunts, the price is per group and not per person : the price is the same whether you are two or six.

Treasure hunts: yes, no strings attached. The price is per group; you can go as a pair or even alone if you wish.

Escape games: they can be booked with a minimum of 3 paid places. Note the important distinction: this minimum refers to the number of paid places, not the number of people present. Therefore, you have two options:

• Privatize the experience : you pay for 3 places and go as a pair, or even alone. The session is yours alone, no one else can join.
• To join a shared time slot : write to us on WhatsApp, we will try to place you in an existing session with other players.

Escape games: Maximum 6 participants. This is a firm limit, due to the investigation equipment and the vehicle.

Treasure hunts: we recommend 6 people; beyond that, not everyone can see the clues at the same time, and the experience loses its appeal. But nothing prevents you from doing it yourself: you are free to choose.

For a larger group, seminar or event, write to us: we organize staggered departures or parallel sessions.

No, and this concerns escape games, the price of which is per person:

• Children under 10 : free.
• Children under 15 : half price.
• 15 years and over : adult price.

For treasure hunts, the question does not arise: the price is per group, regardless of the age of the participants.

With great pleasure. Children are welcome, under the supervision and responsibility of an accompanying adult. Several missions are designed to stimulate their observation and curiosity — searching for a sculpted detail, counting patterns, identifying a color.

If you are coming with young children and are hesitating between two routes, write to us: we will guide you towards the one that will suit them best.

Escape games: yes, absolutely. A game master and, if necessary, a vehicle and driver will be reserved for you. Booking is done online, and each game has its own timeframe.

• Code Arsat and Dans les pas de Mohamed : until 8 p.m. the day before for a morning departure, and until midnight for afternoon departures.
• On the road to Red Gold : until 5 p.m. the day before for the 9 a.m. departure, and until 8 p.m. for the midday departure.

The calendar on each listing only shows the slots that are still bookable: if a time appears, it is available.

Treasure hunts: no. You buy the route and you start whenever you want, on the same day or later, according to the instructions received at the time of purchase.

Yes. Once the minimum number of paid places has been paid for at the time of booking, we cannot cancel your session due to insufficient participants. This is a contractual commitment, stated in Article 11 of our Terms and Conditions.

You will never get the message "departure cancelled due to lack of people" the day before your experience.

Fully online at the time of booking, via a secure channel:

• bank card activated for international payments;
• PayPal, with or without a PayPal account.

We do not store any banking data: the transaction is processed directly by our payment provider.

The dirham is our reference rate, the one that makes sense locally. But the currency for the contract and payment is the euro : it's the only one that allows us to accept cards and PayPal from our visitors, wherever they live.

The amount in euros is displayed before you confirm, and that is exactly the amount that will be debited. In case of a discrepancy between the two displayed amounts, the amount in euros prevails.

Because the payment is denominated in euros. A Moroccan card can only be used internationally if the international payment option has been activated with your bank — it is not activated by default, and it can be activated in a few minutes from your bank's app or at a branch.

The transaction is then deducted from your annual e-commerce allowance, the one allocated to you for online purchases abroad.

If your card is still being declined, write to us on WhatsApp: we will find a solution together.

The exact meeting point is indicated on your booking confirmation, along with a location link. For escape games, please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled start time : this allows time for us to welcome you, provide you with the equipment, and set the scene.

For treasure hunts, the starting point is communicated to you upon purchase and you go there whenever you wish.

Departures are scheduled on time to avoid delaying subsequent sessions. Your lateness will therefore be deducted from your mission time.

are more than 20 minutes late, your session may be cancelled and no refund will be given. If you are stuck in traffic or lost in the streets, please let us know immediately on WhatsApp: as long as we hear from you, we will do our best to accommodate you.

Not during the mission. When the application is launched, the stages, puzzles and map are downloaded to your phone and the game then takes place without a network — which is essential in the medina, where coverage is unreliable and many visitors do not have a local plan.

An internet connection is only required at two points: at the very beginning, to open your mission and download its content, and at the end, to save your score on the leaderboard. Wi-Fi from a riad or café is perfectly adequate.

For escape games, all the necessary connected equipment is handed to you personally at the start.

The app's map uses real-time geolocation, even offline, to point you in the right direction. The medina is a labyrinth: that's by design, and it's part of the fun.

If you are truly stuck, our WhatsApp support team is available every day from 9am to 7pm. Save the number before you leave: +212 6.63.13.45.59.

• Closed and comfortable shoes are recommended. The alleyways are cobbled, uneven, and sometimes slippery.
• Water, and a hat or cap from April to October.
• A fully charged phone for treasure hunts — it's your investigation notebook. An external battery is a good idea.
• Respectful attire is recommended : you will be walking through residential areas and passing places of worship. Covered shoulders and knees are appreciated.

The tours take place outdoors. In summer, we strongly recommend morning or late afternoon slots: the medina in full sun at 3 p.m. is not pleasant for anyone.

Rain is rare in Marrakech and doesn't usually prevent play. In the event of exceptional weather conditions that render a course unplayable, we offer a free rescheduling or a full refund.

It depends a lot on the route. The alleys of the medina have narrow passages, steps and uneven floors; car escape games, on the other hand, greatly limit walking.

Rather than giving you a general answer that would be wrong, tell us your situation on WhatsApp before booking: we know every meter of our routes and we will tell you frankly which one is suitable, or if none are suitable.

To send you three things, and nothing else:

• The discovery booklet, with the historical and cultural facts of your journey;
• Your result : points, time, ranking position;
• Any bonus photos taken during the mission, if you have any.

Your email address never appears in the public ranking and is not shared with anyone. You can request its removal at any time by writing to contact@lesmysteresdemarrakech.com.

It appears on the Rankings, along with your score, time, and the number of participants. Nothing else: no last name, no email, no photo.

Choose a team name that you'll be happy to see displayed. And if you'd rather not be included, just let us know: we'll remove your entry.

Photos taken during your mission are sent to you by email. They are never published without your explicit consent : the authorization box is unchecked by default in the application, and leaving it unchecked means no.

They are stored in a private space, accessible only to you via a personal link, and deleted from our servers after a short period. No photos appear in the ranking.

They differ depending on the nature of the experiment, because one mobilizes staff at a given time and the other does not.

Escape games (time slot)

• Cancellation more than 48 hours before departure: full refund.
• Cancellation less than 48 hours in advance: no refund, the Game Master and the vehicle being firmly mobilized.
• No refund if you are absent on the day.

Treasure hunts (no date)

• Within 14 days of purchase : full refund, provided that the mission link or QR code has not been activated.
• After activation of the link: the service is considered to have been performed, no refund will be issued.

Yes, if you request it in writing at least 24 hours before the original time. Rescheduling is subject to availability: we will do our best to find a slot for you, but we cannot guarantee it.

A message on WhatsApp is all it takes.

This only happens in cases of force majeure: exceptional weather conditions, public safety imperatives, or major technical failures. In such cases, we offer you the choice of either a free postponement or a full refund.
